GRAVEL
With more than 800 participants in 2026, the Gravel races continue their remarkable growth and have now established themselves as a must-attend event in the sport.
Acclaimed for the quality of its routes, the course retains everything that has made it a success. On the agenda: the legendary Paris–Lyon–Marseille Greenway, with its iconic tunnels, long forest trails, and paths overlooking the majestic limestone gorges of Baume-les-Messieurs, set amid wild and unspoiled landscapes.
The 2027 edition will feature a route very similar to last year’s, but enhanced with a brand-new section right from the start. This change will extend the fun with more kilometers on the trails and a revamped finish, for an even more immersive experience that feels less like “road cycling.”
Three formats will ensure there’s an adventure for everyone:
- A discovery ride, accessible to all, ideal for getting started with gravel riding, with refreshments along the route.
- An intermediate timed route, secured by marshals, designed for cyclists seeking to push their limits.
- A long self-guided route, reserved for those who love challenges, wide-open spaces, and adventure.
Whether you’re curious to try the sport or an experienced rider, these routes promise an authentic gravel experience in the heart of one of France’s most beautiful playgrounds.
Please note: Electric-assist bikes (e-bikes), in touring mode and outside the rankings, are permitted on the first two routes. Participants must be at least 14 years old to take part in the ride.
