Jean-Yves RAVIER,
Maire de Lons le Saunier

In 2021, Lons-le-Saunier had the privilege to be the host city of the 1st edition of the Laughing Cow Cyclo!
The success of this event has been praised by all. It allowed, during a weekend, to highlight our cultural, architectural and gastronomic heritage and our Jura landscapes, unique in France. This competition has also helped the economic dynamism of our region. Finally, from a sporting point of view, Lons-le-Saunier and its territory are an ideal playground for a cycling event open to as many people as possible.

By committing itself to this adventure alongside the men and women who make up this world-famous Lédonian institution, the municipality wanted to perpetuate this great sporting event in our town.

I am therefore happy and proud that Lons-le-Saunier will once again host the Cyclosportive de la Vache qui Rit on May 28 and 29 in 2022.
See you soon on our roads in Lédon!

Jean-Mary POUPAT,
Director of Non-Food Business Development - Bel Group

The Laughing Cow® is international, contemporary, daring and delicious.
To commemorate its anniversary in the Jura region, Groupe Bel wanted to offer a large popular gathering on the very spot where the first cheese factory workshop was located, where the story began.

The desire to bring together the two Jura plants and La Maison de La Vache qui rit® is a marker of family history and living together. Memory of an industrial history, these sites sublimate the historical roots of this iconic brand to embody the Bel Group's values.

This event must hold this identity high. It must reflect the energy that is ours and invite everyone to join in this great moment of laughter to be shared together, today and for the next 100 years, as a precious asset that must be safeguarded. A fabulous ambition for a group that is preserving its roots while offering products that are loved around the world.

Sébastien MEDAN,
CLSO President

For the 100 years of The Laughing Cow®, more than 2200 cyclists pedaled on the roads of the Jura in the brand's colors. The participants from 15 nationalities and 80 French departments were able to appreciate the beauty of the landscapes but also the richness and knowledge of this land of cycling.

What a pride for the CLSO team to have succeeded in maintaining an event of such a scale despite the health context. Much more than a sporting event, it was a historic moment for an international brand.

We warmly thank the Bel Group for their confidence but also all the stakeholders who contributed to the festival: Lons-le-Saunier, institutional and economic partners, service providers, volunteers ...

Offering a second edition seemed an obvious choice. We are already looking forward to seeing you in 2022. New village, new routes... and even more surprises!
